Utah State University is a university funded by the state of Utah, conducting world-class research in agriculture and natural products. To support its students in obtaining the best education, USU designed several scholarships available to each student at the university. The amount and requirements of each scholarship vary, as shown in the USU Scholarship Index.
The USU Scholarship Index helps students determine which scholarships they are eligible for. In addition, it facilitates students to learn what requirements they must fulfill in winning scholarships. The index is available for various USU scholarships as you can see in this guide.
What is a scholarship index?
A scholarship index is a database that serves as a visual resource for prospective students, faculty members, and administrative departments at a university or institution. It is sometimes referred to as a scholarship database. Students use the scholarship index to choose where to apply for scholarships and which scholarships are the most appropriate for them.
Additionally, students can narrow down the search results based on the amount of the scholarship, the sort of degree they wish to pursue, and whether the award is currently open or closed. Meanwhile, faculty members and the administrative department consult the scholarship index in order to broaden the scope and options for funding as well as to foster collaboration between different institutions.
Scholarship awards are grants or payments made to students who are enrolled in private or public schools, colleges, or universities in order to help them pay for their education expenses. Different sorts of scholarships are awarded to different students, including athletic, merit-based, need-based, career-specific, and last-dollar scholarships, among other types of financial aid.
USU Scholarship Index
The USU scholarship index combines GPA and ACT/SAT test scores in determining students’ eligibility for Utah State University academic scholarships. Future students may be eligible for one of these scholarships: resident, nonresident, southeast resident, and southeast nonresident scholarship.
Please take note that ACT/SAT does not include the writing portion. On the other hand, unweighted GPA is calculated on a 4.0 scale. A GPA weighted above a 4.0 will be recalculated for admissions and scholarship purposes.
Let’s go over the USU scholarship index for each of the programs.
