Mizzou Scholarship Categories

Basically, there are three main categories of Mizzou Scholarships:

1. Automatic Mizzou Scholarships

2. Competitive Mizzou Scholarships

Academic merit is the basis for some scholarships, while others are awarded based on participation in a particular course or degree program. These are merit-based scholarships, thus there may be extra requirements and varied submission dates. Scholarship competitions are open to both Missouri citizens and those from other states.

Students who enroll at Mizzou in their first semester after graduating from high school are eligible for the following financial aid packages. After submitting your application for admission, first-year and incoming freshmen may use the link on their Application Status Page to get access to Scholarship Universe Mizzou. If you want to be considered for merit-based scholarships, you need apply to Mizzou by November 15th.

More About the Mizzou Scholarships

Unless otherwise specified, Mizzou Scholarships are not transferable across campuses within the University of Missouri System. The University of Missouri awards academic scholarships twice a year, in the Fall and the Spring.

You will forfeit your Mizzou Scholarship if you are expelled from the university. However, you may become eligible again in the future if you meet the renewal requirements at the end of the academic year. Nonetheless, you will not be able to get a scholarship for more than eight semesters total.

2. View Your Dashboard

3. Answer Matching Questions

5. Apply for Scholarships

In order to submit an application for a scholarship, go to “Applications” in the user menu on the left. You may use a single application to submit many scholarship applications at once. Under each scholarship application, you can see how many you have applied for and, by clicking the arrow, each scholarship’s name.

In this case, you will only be able to apply for scholarships that you have been matched to using your Matching Questions. Once an application has been sent in, it cannot be changed. Before hitting the “Submit” button, double check your application materials and ask any questions you may have.
