Instruction Languages

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the President Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Non-Chinese citizenship, good health, and a clean criminal record
- Adherence to Chinese laws and regulations as well as ZZU rules
- Demonstrate a strong learning attitude, academic foundation, and potential for specialized research
- Not registered as a Ph.D. student in Chinese universities during the application
- Academic degree and age requirements: Outstanding academic record in a master’s or higher degree. For Pakistani applicants, completion of an 18-year master’s program
- Aged below 40 years old
- Language Competence: HSK 5 with a score of 210 for Chinese-taught programs and IELTS 6.5 or higher for English-taught programs (for non-English speaking countries)
Application Documents
Applicants are required to submit:
- CV, passport valid for at least one year
- Degree certificates, transcripts, study/employment certificates (if applicable), translated to Chinese or English
- Statement of research interest and proposal (minimum 2000 words), plagiarism check required
- Two recommendation letters from professors with contact details
- Language proficiency test scores (HSK, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)
- Physical examination records (valid for 6 months), criminal certificate
- Additional documents like publication lists, academic awards, and relevant experience summaries
