Criteria: future candidates who are planning to apply for these scholarships must either be a domestic or international student enrolled in Deakin University, must not be receiving any other types of scholarships, and must provide proof that student needs financial assistance and does not have his or her living costs sponsored by another source.

Benefits: successful candidates of the Deakin University International Postgraduate Research Scholarships will be granted with an allowance of $27,596/annum (excluding tax) for a period of 3 years, all-expenses paid tuition for 4 years, a relocation fee from $500-$1,500 for students who will be moving to Victoria to study at Deakin University, and also health insurance (for international students only).

Benefits: successful candidates of the Faculty of Science Postgraduate Writing-Up Awards will be given a partial funding of $5,000 that can be used to financially aid their doctoral studies.
