Drexel Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate Studies

Drexel University awards merit-based undergraduate and graduate scholarships to students who participate in various extracurricular activities. Most Drexel scholarships are offered to students who begin full-time attendance as Drexel students at the time of the award.

Students are applied to all class terms as long as they maintain full-time status and a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) during the academic calendar year. Scholarships, loans, grants, and work-study programs are among the financial aid options available at Drexel.

1. Merit-Based Drexel Scholarships

Drexel’s Admissions Committee awards various institutional merit grants to entering first-year and transfer students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement during their high school years. Scholarships are given to first-year and transfer students who meet the requirements.

The merit-based Drexel scholarships award fluctuates according to how well the Admissions Committee reviews a student’s qualifications. During the quarters in which they are enrolled in classes, the scholarships are renewable for future undergraduate degree programs.

To be considered for an institutional merit scholarship, you must submit a comprehensive admissions application by the deadline specified on the scholarship’s website. Scholarship candidates are reviewed at the same time that they are considered for admission to the university.

2. Drexel Athletic Scholarships

Drexel University offers sports scholarships to students who participate in the university’s official sporting programs. These scholarships can range in value from $1,000 to full tuition. These sporting scholarships recognize students’ hard work and abilities and offer them additional opportunities to shine.

At their heart, they provide financial assistance to students who have completed prerequisites and have demonstrated the ability to succeed in the future. 3. Drexel Global Scholar Program

The Drexel Global Scholar program honors a small group of international students who have excelled academically and demonstrated a strong commitment to global leadership and community building.

It is a full-tuition scholarship that can only be used during academic quarters and for a total of 12 academic quarters. You must submit a comprehensive admission application by the relevant date to be eligible for the Drexel Global Scholar program.

You must also submit extra papers, such as an essay and a CV, by November 15 (for Early Decision applicants) or February 1 (Early Action and Regular Decision applicants).

4. Drexel Legacy Scholarship

Drexel University alumni’s children and grandchildren are eligible for the Drexel Legacy Scholarship. It is open to both local and international first-year fall start and full-time on-campus transfer applicants.

Each qualifying recipient receives $1,000 per academic quarter. Although the prize is renewable, it cannot be used for more than 12 academic quarters and can only be used for tuition.

To apply, you must have a completed admission application on file by the admission program’s deadline. Most importantly, you must state on your application that one of your parents or grandparents is a Drexel University graduate.

5. Drexel Liberty Scholars

The Liberty Scholars program awards 65 recent high school graduates from across the country a renewable scholarship covering all tuition and fees.

The program fosters student success through a dedicated faculty or staff mentor, a Living Learning Community, extracurricular and developmental programming, and active engagement with campus life.

Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States, demonstrating financial needs. All first-year applicants in any major are eligible for the grant as long as they are enrolled in a full-time, on-campus undergraduate program.

6. Drexel Scholarships for Students of Performing Arts

A tuition-only scholarship of up to $2,000 may be available to students who participate in a performing art at Drexel. Students must audition for a Drexel ensemble to obtain this scholarship. This prize is usually given after students have confirmed their admission at Drexel University.

7. Drexel Distinguished Service Scholarship

Incoming first-year students with an outstanding record of community service, service-learning, or civic involvement are eligible for the Drexel Distinguished Service Scholarship. It pays $1,666 every academic quarter and is accessible to first-year fall start applicants.

The scholarship is renewable for subsequent years of an undergraduate degree program during the semesters in which the student is enrolled in classes, as long as they maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA and are enrolled full-time.

Students must complete the Drexel Distinguished Service supplemental application to be eligible for the scholarship.

Congressional Service Award recipients, Corporation for National and Community Service participants, and applicants with exceptional high school service records will be given special attention.

8. Drexel Dean’s Fellowship

A Drexel Dean’s Fellowship is a non-need-based award for full-time graduate students at the University City Campus, including the Human Nutrition program. It covers a percentage of the student’s tuition each term.

These Drexel scholarships are available for both domestic and international students. However, applicants must be seeking master’s-level studies full-time. It is presently unavailable to students taking online courses.

Depending on the student’s academic performance, the fellowship can be renewed. The Office of Graduate Admissions at Drexel University will determine and notify those who will receive Dean’s Fellowships.

9. Drexel-Kaplan Graduate Degree Advantage Program

After attending a Kaplan GRE or GMAT preparation course, any student who enrolls in a Drexel graduate school program will get tuition credit equivalent to the amount paid to Kaplan for the preparation course.

Students who took Kaplan’s private tutoring sessions in preparation for the GRE or GMAT within two years of being accepted to Drexel are eligible for a $1,200 tuition credit.

Before enrollment, you must submit your original receipts for the Kaplan course or tutoring session to the Office of Graduate Admissions to be eligible for these Dexler scholarships.
