1. Communicorp See What’s More Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,500
Closing Date: September 15
Applicants must be a high school graduate in 2022 or a senior high school student in 2023 who demonstrates passion, grit, leadership, and academic excellence. Also, they should explain what it means to be “more.”
2. NSHSS Collegiate Council Leadership Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: September 15
Applicants must be NSHSS Collegiate Council members with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additionally, they should be in an undergraduate or graduate school and possess the passion to build a positive global community.
3. Be More Fund
Amount of Award: $10,000
Closing Date: September 15
This scholarship is open to any NSHSS member, NSHSS Collegiate Council representative, NSHSS fellow, or educator who has an established product, passion project, or nonprofit that contributes to world betterment.
4. Cales Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship
Amount of Award: $5,000
Closing Date: September 30
This scholarship is available to NSHSS members who are senior high school students and those graduating in 2023 or 2024. Also, they must be able to demonstrate their leadership in action in the form of images, videos or media.
5. NSHSS Activism and Advocacy Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: September 30
The NSHSS Activism and Advocacy Scholarship invites applications from high school and college students of all levels. They must have a passion for bringing about change in their community, whether it be in social, political, and/or civil aspects.
6. NSHSS Foundation Business & Public Policy Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: September 30
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be freshmen or high school graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, they must be pursuing one of the following degrees: Business/Business Administration, Finance/Economics, or Public Policy.
7. Speak Up! Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: September 30
Speak Up! Scholarships are designed for high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate a passion for communication. Applicants who participate in one of the following classes or clubs will be considered for prizes: Journalism, Marketing, PR, Literary Magazine, Public Speaking, or Visual Communications.
8. NSHSS Innovation in Technology Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: September 30
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors and college students who have dedicated themselves to Artificial Intelligence (AI), technology, coding, and related fields.
9. Notorious RBG Women of Tomorrow Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: September 30
This scholarship favors high school students graduating in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, and seniors graduating in 2022. While applicants of any gender are eligible, preference is given to female-identified applicants.
10. Your First Scholarship
Amount of Award: $500
Closing Date: October 1
The NSHSS invites their members who have never won a scholarship to apply to this program, be it within the NSHSS or any external organization.
11. Why Vote? Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: October 1
High school and college students who are 18 years of age or older, or will turn 18 by the midterm of National Election Day 2022, are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. Plus, they must be committed to spreading awareness on the importance of voting in their community.
12. John Lewis Good Trouble Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: October 15
To be eligible for the John Lewis Good Trouble Scholarship, applicants must be NSHSS members currently in high school or college. In addition, they must have the ideals of “good trouble.”
13. NSHSS Foundation STEM Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: October 15
As the name suggests, this scholarship recognizes high school seniors graduating in 2022 who wish to pursue a degree in one of the STEM disciplines. Also, they are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
14. NSHSS Mental Health Awareness Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31
NSHSS aims to reward students for their positive efforts in spreading awareness and influencing mental health related change. They must be junior and senior high school or college students at all levels.
15. NSHSS Performing Arts: Dance Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31
Are you a high school student graduating in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, or a senior student who just graduated in 2022? This is the scholarship for you! Preference will be given to those who are interested in pursuing their studies in the performing arts.
16. NSHSS Film and Video Production Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31
Applications are open to high school students graduating in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025, and seniors who have recently graduated in 2021. Entries will be assessed against a set of criteria, including the expression of a clear theme, the quality of story lines and scripts, and creativity.
17. NSHSS Visual Arts Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31
This scholarship awards two different categories of entries: photography/digital photography and painting/drawing/mixed media/digital art. Applications are open to high school students graduating in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, and seniors who have just graduated in 2022.
18. NSHSS Creative Writing Scholarship
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31
Do you have a knack for writing? Then, you must definitely check out this opportunity! To be eligible for the scholarship, you must submit either a poem or a work of fiction. Your submission will be judged on creativity, technique, expression, and originality.
19. NSHSS Ambassador Awards
Amount of Award: $1,000
Closing Date: October 31
NSHSS is calling all NSHSS ambassadors from all high school levels to apply for this opportunity! To be considered for the prestigious award, they must be student leaders within their high school who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong commitment to community service.
20. NSHSS Student Athlete Scholarships
Amount of Award: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31
As the name implies, these NSHSS scholarships will be awarded to student athletes who are passionate about and mastered their respective sports. To apply, they must be high school students graduating in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, or seniors graduating in 2022 with a GPA of at least 3.5.
