Schwarzman Scholarships for International Students

If you are a senior high school student who is in final years or even if you already finish your senior high school and want to continue your study to the next level, certainly you already have a plan and doing some research to gather some relevant information for it. Having a picture your self to continue your study and spent some of your time by planning, reading scholarship article, looking for some opportunities and continue working towards your goals that alone is one big step on its own.

There is plenty of information about undergraduate scholarships whether from official websites or supporting reliable sources, whether the scholarship provided by the governments or organizations, fully funded scholarship or partial scholarship and some helpful information might save your time in gathering resources.

Here are two undergraduate scholarships that might be useful for you.

Schwarzman Scholarship

Schwarzman Scholar is an institution founded by CEO and Co-founder of Blackstone Stephen A. Schwarzman in 2016 located in China. He donated $ 100 million dollars for this institution and leading a campaign to raise $ 500 million more for this program. Schwarzman scholarship founded to accommodate the young students who want to study in China. Schwarzman scholarship has the objective to respond geopolitical landscape of the 21st century and to understand China’s role to the world whether its the political change, economy, and science.

Schwarzman scholarship is a full-fledged scholarship where its participant will study at Tsinghua University in Beijing on one year master program. The participants will live in Beijing for one full year of their study and immerse them self experiencing first hand the culture, people, traveling the country, to have a better understanding of China. The benefits of scholarship recipients include tuition fees, travel expense, health insurance, living quarters and $4000 stipend for personal expenses.

The composition of participants for this scholarship 45% come from the US, 20% form China and the rest come from all across the globe and there is no specific nations targeted other than mentioned above. Also, there is no admission fee for the program, traveling expense for the interview such as economy class air or train, and a one-night hotel will be covered for the applicants who successfully chosen as a semi-finalist.

The Applicants age should range from 18 and 28 years old. The applicants who hold China, Hongkong, Taiwan, and Macau passport may apply between January and end of May and for those who are not a passport holder or a citizen from the countries that mentioned above may apply between April and September.

All applicants should finish their undergraduate degree before the given deadline, English proficiency with TOEFL IBT, TOEFL PBT, IELTS are the only acceptable test for this scholarship, married applicants will not be given disadvantage and will be treated and processed the same as other applicants the spouse/ partner may accompany the chosen candidate but no additional funding will be given, Academic excellence will be an important factor for successful candidates however there is no minimum GPA requirement for Schwarzman scholarship.

  • Complete and successfully submitted online application.
  • Uploaded transcripts/ academic records in English and if the original records using another language official translation will be required.
  • Three electronic recommendation letter
  • A video is not one of the requirement but strongly recommended the video can be up to 1 min with less 20MB in size.
  • Resume or CV
  • Two Essay; one essay statement of purpose and leadership (750 words limit strongly advised) and another one is a current affairs essay up to 500 words.

It is very important to know you and can be considered as a warning do not put an additional unneeded document such us portfolios, writing example Etc.

Endeavour Scholarship

The Endeavour leadership program or Endeavour scholarship is a scholarship program funded by the Australian government as Australia’s first national strategy for education 2025. The objectives of this scholarship program are to enhance Australia reputation as one of tip global study and research destination also to build and strengthen international network and connection with the prioritized country in an efforts to bring a beneficial contribution in term of research, innovation and education fields for the countries.

There are three level countries that will be prioritized for receiving the scholarship with the highest priority will be the following countries; the member of economic ASEAN/OPEC countries, Asian-pacific-other, and Australian’s strategic partner countries, the second highest priority will be Americans, European, and Middle-eastern countries that have a strong relationship with the Australian government in education fields, the third priority include Carribean/American, European, African, Middle-eastern, Asia-Pacific countries that have limited ties with the Australian government for more detailed countries you can find the information here.

All the endeavour scholarship recipient will receive AU$ 3000 monthly allowance up to maximum AU$ 36,000 a year, tuition fee proportion to their maximum study and research program, travel allowance, and covered health & travel insurance expenses.

It is required for applicants to submit their copy of their original passport and/or birth certificate and present the photocopy and the original to the professional person with a good standing such as public notary, university dean, lawyer Etc.

Transcripts records of a minimum bachelor degree in its final form with numerical indicator and the subjects that have been studied, evidence of admission to an Australian institution with information such as start and end dates of admission, course fee and also the institution must be located in Australia and must be a full-time based program.

And the third is evidence of English proficiency IELTS/TOEFL/CAE/PTA certified official copy with test scores included and valid for two years and the test that provided after the closing date will not be accepted.

The Last general requirement will be two referee reports, the reports should be from an eligible person such as professor from your previous university, University Dean, and/or a superior in your working environment that can describe your performance in your academic and working fields you can check more detailed requirements in this link.
