1. What is UCLA Regents Scholarship?
The Regents Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that recognizes students on the basis of their academic accomplishments and personal successes rather than financial needs. This is a competitive stipend awarded to undergraduate students at the University of California. Regents Students receive up to $8,000 in honorarium, paying $2,000 in each of their 4 or 2 undergraduate years (for freshman or transfer students), plus other extra benefits.
2. Is the Regents Scholarship need-based scholarship?
All students who meet the criteria can be awarded a one-time grant. Need is not taken into account when assessing eligibility for either the one-time award or the equivalent reward of my529 (formally UESP). - 3 credits of Social Science

13. What ACT score is needed for the scholarship?
Applicants with a minimum ACT composite of 30 and a rank in the top 25 per cent of their graduating class (6th or 7th semester) or a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher will qualify for the award.
14. Do the requirements for the scholarship change?
The UCLA Regents Scholarship was established by law in Utah, and is subject to periodic changes. Furthermore, the curriculum manuals can be revised to explain the scholarship rules better. Students will be informed to their Regents Scholarship account through the Message Center. When a message is sent to the Message Center you will receive an email that will allow you to sign in to read the message. Messages are often time-sensitive and demand that you take action within a defined period.
