$5,000 Earnest Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Before considering student loans to cover your higher education, you can go ahead and apply to many scholarships instead. Unlike those loans, scholarships are essentially free money, meaning you don’t have to pay back the prize you’ve received. Scholarships come in many shapes and sizes, and companies now also offer their awards alongside universities and non-profit organizations.

Earnest, for example, has been offering financial aid to deserving students for three years now. The San Francisco-based private student loan financing company organizes the Earnest Scholarship annually to encourage students like you to pursue their dream degrees. Its generous amount makes it one you shouldn’t miss when it comes to your scholarship hunt.

With that said, read on to find out all about the Earnest Scholarship in and out to further optimize your chances of winning your own award.

What is the Earnest Scholarship?

Figuring out how to pay your tuition fees can be stressful, especially if you have to manage it on your own. Luckily, there are many options out there that you can choose from according to your financial standing. From getting student loans to working part-time, these solutions allow students to remain in college.

But there’s no denying that securing a scholarship is the best way to afford college. While some demand rigorous qualifications, others are relatively easy to apply for. These easy scholarships for college students are perfect if you dread writing essays or if your academic achievements are less than stellar.

Also called “sweepstakes,” they generally work like a raffle. All you need to do is enter your identity into the scholarship sponsor’s website, and that’s it! The sponsor will draw all applications received to determine the lucky winner. What’s the catch? Because the application is so straightforward, sweepstakes have more competition.

Even so, it never hurts to try. The more sweepstakes you enter, the better your chances of winning! Applying to the Earnest Scholarship by Earnest, for example, is a good start. Unlike most sweepstakes, Earnest awards free money to up to 10 selected students, which is a relatively big number.

If this will be your first, you might be wondering, “Is the Earnest Scholarship legit?” The short answer is a resounding yes! In fact, 185 students across the country have been benefited since the program was launched in 2019. That equates to $875,000 disbursed to encourage bright students to attend top U.S. institutions.

This year Earnest is back with the much-awaited Earnest Scholarship 2023. You can find more details about the program in the next section, so keep going.
