NEST Scholarship Overview

NEST Scholarship is a financial aid offered by NEST, an organization established under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984. It is administered by the Ministry of Federal Education of Professional Training of Government of Pakistan to provide scholarships to needy talented students who unfortunately do not have enough resources to continue their studies.

The scholarship would enable you an opportunity to continue your studies. The company’s objective is in line with the Government Policy for providing vertical mobility to the most vulnerable segments of the society. NEST Scholarship will be awarded for various levels of education.

NEST Scholarship Categories

1. Arts and Culture Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

The Arts and Culture Scholarship is reserved only for the students of Partner Institutes (you can check the complete list of the Partner Institutes after this segment). Students who wish to apply for the scholarship must be enrolled in undergraduate four or five years degree programs are eligible to apply. The other eligibility criteria for this program including:

  • The applicants must be Pakistani.
  • Students must secure admission in the approved discipline at the participating institutions as per the admission policy of the institution.
  • The eligibility of a candidate is linked to the neediness of the candidate as determined by the financial background of his/her family.
  • Not availing any other educational scholarship during the current academic year.

How to Apply

Applicants are requested to apply on the prescribed scholarship application form available here and the Partner Institutes website. There are three pages in total where candidates have to provide detailed information about themselves, including:

  1. Institute Information in Which You Have Taken Admission: Name of Institute, Address of the Institute, Discipline/Subject
  2. Personal Information: Applicant’s Name, Applicant’s CNIC, Gender, Applicant’s Marital Status, Domicile Province, Domicile District, Father’s/Guardian’s Name, Father’s/Guardian’s CNIC, Father’s Occupation, Phone Number, Mobile Telephone Number, Email Address
  3. Contact Information: Present Address, Permanent Address, Total Family Members Currently Living With You, Details of Family Members Earning, Brothers’/Sisters’ Studying, Any Other Supporting Person (If Applicable), The Type of Transportation Vehicle Your Family Own, Your Educational Record, Per Month Fee/Tuition Charges of the Institution Last Attended, How the Admission/Fee Charges Were Paid, The Previously Earned Scholarship, The Current Active Scholarship, Statement of Purpose.

After completing the application form, submit to the concerned Focal Person (which you can check here based on your institute) along with the required documents. Please kindly note that any application forms submitted directly to NEST will not be considered for NEST will only grant scholarships to those students who are shortlisted by the aforementioned Partner Institutes only.

2. Nursing Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

The Nursing Scholarship is reserved only for the students of Partner Institutes of Pakistan Nursing Council’s Approved List.

How to Apply

Click here to apply for the Nursing Scholarship. Upon clicking the “Apply” button, you will be asked to choose your desired program, whether it’s a BS Nursing, MS Nursing, or Ph.D. Nursing. You then will be redirected to complete a separate application form.

After completing the application form, submit to the concerned Focal Person (which you can check here based on your institute) along with the required documents. What you have to prepare in advance are:

  • Admission letter of the institute along with admission fee slip
  • Attested copies of academic documents copies, your CNIC Copy/B-form, your father’s/guardian’s NCIC, domicile, and Death Certificate (in case your father is deceased)
  • Attested copy of rent agreement (if applicable)
  • Copies of last and latest fee receipts of self and siblings (if applicable)
  • Copies of last month utility bills (electricity and gas)
  • Copies of previous scholarship(s) attained (if applicable)
  • A declaration that you are not availing any other scholarship for this academic year signed and stamped by your institutional/department head/principal/Registrar
  • Photographs (two passport size
  • Registration Form (sent via mal filled and signed by the applicant
  • Salary Slip or Income Certificate of the father or guardian
  • Undertaking for Income Declaration
