10 Essential Scholarships for Women in US States

Scholarships for Women in US States: As it is well-known before, that scholarships are granted due to different reasons, some are awarded by considering nationality, race, or even gender. As a matter of fact, scholarships given specifically for women have two aims which are to celebrate academic achievements of many previous great women who considerably paved the way for brighter and more peaceful world; and to advance a lot of educational opportunities of young girls and women in many fields.

In USA, many foundations and non-governmental institutions are always in health competition to award scholarships to women focusing on distinct aspects like the empowerment of women and women’s studies. These organizations do believe that women in US shall be given equal opportunity and treatment in educational matters, amid a long standing point of view that women will face more obstacles and challenges personally since they are often culturally  asked to raise kids and children after getting married, which eventually avert them to pursue their education in higher degrees. However unpleasantly, such a discouraging mindset still exists among Americans, either those living in urban areas or rural areas, stating that education for a woman will stop once she gets married.

Nowadays, apparently such opportunities for women are not only given much by them, but also federal states in US. Furthermore, several organizations and foundations specify awarding scholarships to women who reside in specific states of the US. As already known, America itself consists of 50 states, a federal district which is Washington, the Capital, five major territories, and a variety of  minor islands. Yet however, only female residents in some states enjoy privileges of receiving scholarships, meaning that scholarships awarded will be based on gender.

Here is the list of scholarships awarded only to women in particular states in the US:
