HEC Scholarship: Saudi Arabia, Hungary, Azerbaijan, US

HEC scholarship offers many scholarships for Pakistan citizen and Azad Kashmir (AJK) residence. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) is an independent and autonomous organization that regulates and overseeing higher education in Pakistan, in 2002 HEC gone through reform and become a modern credible independent institution that ensures and continue to bring efforts in making Pakistan’s education meet international standards.

The HEC Scholarship: HEC Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Scholarship

The HEC Scholarship Kingdom of Saudi Arabia given to outstanding Pakistan students to study in one of 23 listed universities in Saudi Arabia. see the list 23 universities in Saudi Arabia.

The scholarship offers range from Bachelor to Ph.D.’s program and will cover the accommodation expenses such as round airfare ticket, health insurance, educational, social & cultural expenses.

The eligibility and requirements

  • Pakistan or AJK nationality or permanent residence with no dual citizenship,
  • the age limit is 25 for Bachelor program, 30 for Master and 35 for Ph.D.’s program by the time of admission,
  • The female applicants must be accompanied by a male legal guardian
  • The applicants are not granted any other scholarships in any form
  • Do not have criminal records

Applying

The applicants must use the online portal at e-portal HEC website and should register first if the applicants do not have the HEC account, you just need to fill out the data when registering.

Prepare your two set HEC/IBCC attested documents; academic transcripts, graduation or degree certificates, health certificates, police clearance certificates and retain it by yourself also do not send the hard copies any documents of this stage of processes. Azerbaijan Scholarship for OIC & NAM Member Citizen

The Azerbaijan scholarship will cover the tuition, international flight, medical insurance, visa registration expenses, and the selected candidates will be granted 800 AZN monthly stipends to cover monthly living expenses. The scholarship is offered for Pakistan’s Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. candidates that will study in Azerbaijan universities. See the list of Azerbaijan universities here.

The eligibility and requirements

  • the age limit is 22 for Bachelor program, 30 for Master and 35 for Ph.D.’s program by the time of admission.
  • English proficiency certificate
  • All certificates or documents should be attested by HEC or IBCC

Applying

The applicants must use the online portal at e-portal HEC website select on the menu “Scholarship and Grant” then go to “Learning Opportunities Abroad” section. After submitting the application printed copy and attach the original slip of  300 Rs to HEC online account no. 17427900133401 In Habib Bank (HBL) Islamabad. (only attach the original slip payment in this process).

Prepared two sets of General Application Form and also prepared the following documents;

  • CV/Resumes
  • Copy of Passport
  • Medical certificates
  • Motivation letter

Female candidates are encouraged to apply for this scholarship and send the online application with the slip of payment (one set) and AIDA application form and all the required documents to the address in this link before 15 January 2019.

HEC Hungary Scholarship

HEC Hungary Scholarship started as bilateral cooperation between Hungarian and Pakistan governments along with HEC that will benefit both countries in the higher education sector. The programmes had been running since 2016 and provide for excellence Pakistan’s students with free tuition, 40,460 HUF monthly allowances for Bachelor and Master’s scholars, 140,000 HUF monthly allowance for Doctoral scholars, health insurance coverage, dormitory place or 40,000 monthly accommodation expenses.

The eligibility and requirements

The eligible study program for Pakistan students for this scholarship range from bachelor to Doctoral scholarship. The listed scholarship study program in Hungary for Pakistan students, the other requirements are following;

  • the age limit is 22 for Bachelor program, 30 for Master and 40 for Doctoral program by the time of admission.
  • Pakistan or AJK nationality
  • English proficiency certificate
  • Medical certificate (the validity no longer than one month)
  • All academic certificates or documents should be attested by HEC or IBCC

Applying

The applicants must use the online portal at e-portal HEC website select on the menu “Scholarship and Grant” then go to “Academic & Research Linkages”. After submitting the application printed copy and attach the stamped and signed (by the employer) original slip of  300 Rs to HEC online account no. 17427900133401 in Habib Bank (HBL) Islamabad. (only attach the original slip payment in this process).

The applicants should submit their application through the online system of Tempus foundation please follow The guidelines for the online applications here. The scholarship deadline for period 2019/20 will be 15 January 2019.

US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Ph.D. Scholarship Program

The US-Pakistan scholarship program was established in 2015 under Obama’s administration as a bilateral cooperation for improving pakistan education. The program planed to accomodate 10,000 pakistan students to study in the US universities for the next ten years and in its 1st-phase  the program had granted 1,500 scholarship in 2017.

The eligibility and requirements

  • Pakistan or AJK nationality
  • Age limit 40 years old in R&D Public sectors and 35 years old for all other sector
  • Succesfully enrolled in the listed in the US universities that have mutual agreement for the programs
  • Commitment to return to Pakistan

The scholarship will not cover the tuition fee but cover living expense and airways ticket, it is be advised for the applicants to secure the admission with complete tuition fee waiver from The listed universities that provide tuition fee waiver for pakistan students.
