2. Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $5,000

Application Dues: January 31, April 30, July 31, October 31

The Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship awards two scholarships worth $5,000 each to applicants from a top nursing school. AACN distribute the scholarships four times each year.

All participants must meet the criteria to qualify for the scholarship. Students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.2 in a current program or in the last school they attended.

Also, they must be taking a higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution in affiliation with CastleBranch.

3. Hurst Review Services and AACN Nursing Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $2,500

Application Dues: January 15, July 15

Hurst Review Services partnered with AACN to award MSN nursing degree scholarships to students pursuing the degree. The scholarship is available to pre-licensed students of AACN member schools.

Applicants can expect to receive up to two scholarships each year. This scholarship is available to U.S. students who foster great interest in studying nursing.

4. Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $2,500

Application Due: November 30

This scholarship is available to three students who demonstrate financial need and have been accepted or are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school in the United States. The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is an initiative of the NDAR which aims to enhance the nursing careers of deserving students.

This is one of those easy scholarships you won’t want to miss out on. All you need to do to apply is submit a letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript stating you are in a nursing program in your application. There is no requirement to maintain minimum GPA.

5. Nurse Corps Scholarship Program

The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program is available to postgraduate nursing students. This is one of the MSN nursing degree scholarships offered by the Nurse Corps. It offers financial aid to help students cover their tuition, fees and other educational expenses.

Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to work at a Critical Shortage Facility (CSF) upon graduation. To apply, applicants must be students a nursing program at a school of nursing in the United States. Moreover, they must start their classes no later than September 30.

The Nurse Corps will give funding preference to those who need it most financially. However, those who exceed the federal debt deadline are not eligible to apply to the program.

6. Sister Mary Daniel Ruffing Nursing Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Amount: $3,000

Next, the Pittsburgh Foundation is offering a scholarship equivalent to $3,000 for graduate students in a professional nursing program. Named the Sister Mary Daniel Ruffing Nursing Scholarship Fund, the program is designed to provide financial assistance to candidates in need.

Candidates must be graduate students from professional nursing programs in Western Pennsylvania. Also, they have to reside in the area. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need.

To apply, candidates must first complete an application form and an essay section. Next, they are required to submit a Student Aid Report (SAR) or a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Unfortunately, preference will be primarily available to undergraduate students. However, in the absence of qualifications, undergraduate students will be considered.

8. NurseJournal.org Global Health Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $3,000

NurseJournal.org offers a Global Health Scholarship of $3,000 annually to deserving candidates to help pursue their degree. The scholarship is open to international students at the graduate level from all over the world.

To apply, applicants must show a history of employment and extracurricular activities. They must also have a GPA of at least 3.2. In addition, they will be judged on the basis of the overall merit of their application and the written essay portion.

10. American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) Career Mobility Scholarship

Career Mobility Scholarships will be available annually to support qualified ANNA members in the pursuit of a higher degree program in nursing. The scholarship awards $4,000 to two winners every year.

To qualify, candidates must be current full members of ANNA and have been members for at least the last two years. In addition, the scholarship will only be available to those who are actively taking part in nephrology nursing in health care services.

Finally, like other MSN nursing degree scholarships, the ANNA Career Mobility Scholarship is only available to students of a higher degree nursing program.
