Eligibility Requirements

These awards are open to any high school seniors with acceptance into a four-year program at the U.S. accredited college or university and undergraduate level students currently enrolled in a four-year program. All U.S. residents, U.S. citizens, and international students are eligible.

The Jamie Chung Scholars Program is one of the most coveted public figure scholarships. It will be awarded to two students who demonstrate passion in his/her/their respective field. This scholarship demonstrates Jamie’s commitment to giving back and her passionate support towards equal opportunity for all.

Before she was a successful actress, Jamie was her parents’ American dream. As the daughter of two immigrants, she saw for herself the doors that a college education can open. Now, she looks to give back in ways where she can open those doors for the next generation of activists, entertainers, and creators.

She is well known for playing “Lauren” in hit comedy films The Hangover 2 & 3. Prior to that, Chung played “Amber” in Zack Snyder’s Suckerpunch, and received critical acclaim for the indie film EDEN, which premiered at SXSW in 2012. Chung won the Special Jury Award for her performance, and the film won the Narrative Audience Award.

To pay tribute to Jamie Chung’s fellow Asian and Pacific Island (AAPI) community, preference will be given to students hailing of AAPI descent. However, it is not required.

Through her non-profit, the Lindsey Vonn Foundation (LVF), she has provided over 100 Lindsey Vonn Foundation Enrichment Scholarships to ID Tech Camps and its all-girls program at Alexa Cafe.

Lindsey Vonn is widely regarded as the greatest female ski racer in history. Vonn is an Olympic Gold and Bronze-winning Alpine Racer for the United States Olympic Ski Team and winner of four overall World Cup titles.

Vonn served as an International Games Ambassador in the 2018 Winter Olympics and is also the founder of the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, which supports girls through scholarships, education, and athletics.

In February 2019, Lindsey announced her retirement from ski racing and that same year commemorated her final season with the release of her HBO documentary “Lindsey Vonn: The Final Season.”

This is a scholarship formed in collaboration between Scholarful and Jay Ellis, an acclaimed actor and activist. It demonstrates Jay Ellis’s commitment to contributing towards BIPOC students, who have historically faced greater obstacles to educational achievement.

Ellis has spoken at the White House for the final “My Brother’s Keeper” summit, an initiative created by President Barack Obama to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by young men of color and to ensure that all young people can reach their full potential.

To qualify for the Jay Ellis Scholarship, see the following criteria:

  • Candidates are current undergraduates enrolled in four-year accredited U.S. college or university or current high school seniors with the intention to continue higher education studies in TV & Film, Performing Arts, or Writing.
  • Preference will be given to members of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.

5. Duah Campbell Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was created by two Virginia State University Sophomores, Aaliyah Duah, and Yania Campbell, to provide greater opportunities and financial aid to young African-American women.

Aaliyah Duah of Financial Revolutionn and Yania Campbell of HBCUYouth also seek to mentor eligible applicants to guide and help young women evolve. All in all, this scholarship will serve as financial aid as well as a mentorship program throughout their College Experience.

The Duah Campbell Scholarship Fund (DCSF) is proud to offer financial assistance to students attending any Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) this coming Fall 2021 semester.

Funding is dedicated to building young women while allowing students to have aid towards college or a business idea. Funds are available until August 2021.

There are two opportunities available:

  1. Black Women in Business Scholarship: Open for students interested in majoring in Business Management & Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship.
  2. Black Women in Politics & Social Justice Scholarship: Open for students interested in Law, Political Science, History, English, Policy, Public Administration, Social Justice, and Activism.

The Award

The two scholars selected will receive $500 each and a business outfit.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Duah Campbell Scholarship Fund, you must:

  • Be an African American woman
  • Attend the Fall 2021 semester as an incoming college freshman
  • Be committing to an HBCU
